Pink Rose Spa Gift
Here I am conducting a workshop demonstration class on bow making techniques. I was pleasantly surprised that about 15 ladies attended my first workshop. The other picture is one of my spa gift baskets created for Valentine’s Day.
Let me start by talking primarily about how gift baskets entered my life and slowly became a passion. After my only daughter left for college several years ago, she decided that once her studies were completed, she would not be returning home to live with me. As a single parent, most of my time had been devoted to raising Alex. I was in search of a hobby.
My vision board was filled with pretty pictures of candles, flowers and gifts. I then checked my idea file which I had always kept and landed on an entry about starting a gift basket business. Thus, Baskets by Consuela was born. Actually, it started with a different title but was soon changed. The former name didn’t quite represent who I really am as a person. I’ve always been someone people come to for advice, information or encouragement. I enjoy sharing my wisdom and knowledge. I wanted people to connect my brand with not only how I live my life but with style, sophistication and elegance. Many of the gift baskets I design are one-of-a-kind creations. I love beautiful colors and objects. I especially enjoy how delighted people are when they receive one of my designs. I take pride in selecting every element of the finished gift. I get to shop and design pretty gift baskets. What pleasure!
